SCHOOL AND COLLEGE
ACTIVITY COURSES

Cape Adventure provides a fun learning experience in a positive and safe environment. Our courses help individuals to grow through their experiences, gain self confidence whilst developing a sense of ownership and responsibility amongst their peers. Qualities such as initiative and speed of thought are encouraged. Self reliance, self discipline and control are often called upon. New challenges are faced, skills developed and friendships forged.

Our facilities and staff are exclusively yours for your course. We accommodate one group per week. You have our undivided attention whilst you are with us. The climbing crag is yours alone, there are no other groups on the water and it is rare to see other walkers in the mountains.

Caring for our environment - Cape Adventure is a partner organisation with the John Muir Trust. Take part in the John Muir Award, an environmental Award Scheme focused on wild places. It encourages the discovery and conservation of wild places in a spirit of fun, adventure and exploration. It is non-competitive and open to all.

Your action packed week will include the following:

A Mountain Expedition - wild camping at the foot of the mountain you climb the next day

Sea kayaking – learn to paddle your own kayak in the sheltered sea loch amongst islands rich in birdlife

Climbing and Abseiling on a wild empty crag with breath taking views out to sea

‘Search to Survive’ – orienteer to win vital equipment for Survival night

Cape Team Challenge – a head to head team competition including a variety of team tasks, raft building and race

Landyachting on one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Scotland

Surfing in the fresh west coast surf

Survival Skills - learn how to build your own shelter, discover edible wild plants, shellfish and seaweed, find water and make a fire

And Survival on an uninhabited island, put skills learnt into practice and sleep out under the stars…

Your Course fee includes: A fully supervised programme with tuition and all specialist equipment, home cooked breakfast and evening meal with packed lunch each day, transport to and from activities, accommodation, bed linen and VAT. (For supervised groups, 1 free accompanying teachers place per 10 pupils).
