Self Catering Accommodation

Cape Adventure International provides self-catering accommodation for up to 30 people. We are open from mid April – end September.

We are ideally positioned to discover the North West Highlands of Scotland and equipped for parties wishing to walk, rock climb, sea kayak, dive, study wildlife and geology. We are located on the shores of Loch a Chadh-Fi, a sheltered sea loch, that leads into Loch Laxford. Please see “Where we are” You can find us on O.S. map Landranger 9, Cape Wrath, 1:50000 at grid reference 224 507, as Adventure School.

Facilities include bedrooms with bunks and/or single/double bed options, 8 showers with plenty of hot water, a well equipped working kitchen with fridge, freezer etc, a large dining room, comfortable seating area with wood burning stove and a drying room. Please see our building plan.

Equipment for hire:
Camping equipment including tents, cookers, fuel for cookers, rucksacks and walking boots.
Climbing equipment, helmets and harnesses.
Sea kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids, wetsuits, spray decks, kayak cagoules, helmets.
Note: All our equipment is well maintained and serviced with a full working history.

Specialist Clothing and Equipment:
If you require specialist clothing or equipment at competitive prices, we can order through our suppliers and have it delivered here for your arrival.

Additional information:
Our staff are available as guides/instructors if required, we can help with planning and local knowledge. We can order food and drink in advance for your arrival. We can provide home cooked meals on days of arrival or other if required.

How to get to us:

By Road: From Inverness take A9 north towards Ullapool. At Tore roundabout take the A835 (second exit) to Ullapool and follow signs to Ullapool (approx 1 hr). Continue north on the A835 to Ledmore Junction and turn left onto the A837 towards Lochinver, Kinlochbervie and Scourie. After 9 miles turn right onto the A894 towards Kinlochbervie, Scourie and the north. Drive through Scourie (petrol station and small shop) over Laxford Bridge. After approx 2 miles, turn left to SKERRICHA. Turn left at 2 wooden mail boxes and park in the car park on the right overlooking the sea with Cape Adventure International sign. Total time approximately 2 hours 20 mins.
